The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant provides outpatient adult and occasionally adolescent psychiatric evaluations, medication management and brief psychotherapy. This position is responsible for psychiatric assessments and management, ordering and interpreting tests and documenting in the electronic health record; assesses patient progress and modifies treatment plans accordingly; institutes emergency hospitalizations for patients in crisis for their safety and stabilization when needed; refers patients to community providers when needed; and provides tele psychiatry services through video/phone conferencing.
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant reports directly to the Director of General Counseling Services.
The full-time (40 hours per week), 12-month (52-week) salary range for this position is $115,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This position is scheduled to work 24–40 hours per week during the academic year, approximately 39 weeks. This position is not scheduled to work 13 weeks during the summer break. The number of hours per week will be identified and a regular schedule established.
The full-time annualized salary will be adjusted based upon working 24-40 hours per week and the approximately 39-week academic-year work schedule. This position is benefits eligible.
